Use Vacant Killarney Hospital for Social Housing – February 9th, 2023

When the former St Finan’s Psychiatric Hospital in Killarney was built in the 19^th century, it could accommodate 250 patients. By the middle of the last century, there were over 1,100 patients living there. The facility closed in 2012 and has lain unused since. Labour councillor Marie Moloney says the building could be adapted to provide social housing.
