Two Lives Lost on Kerry’s Roads – July 7th, 2021

Last night, a motorcyclist lost his life when he was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Listry. Gardaí initially said the crash happened at Listry Bridge but it took place between Listry Cross and Faha Cross. The young man was named this evening. He was James O’Connor, who was in his 30s and was from Killorglin. Then at 1.10 this morning, a 14-year-old boy was killed after the car he was driving crashed at Ross Road, Killarney. This evening he was named. He was Thomas Healy from the Gap of Dunloe. Another teenage boy, who was a passenger in the car, was seriously injured. This morning, the Cathaoirleach of Killarney Municipal District, Cllr Marie Moloney spoke to Jerry about the tragedies.
