On Saturday evening, 13-year-old Jack from Waterford was taking part in Glenbeigh Races on Rossbeigh beach when he was fatally injured. The son of leading horse trainer Henry de Bromhead was a talented jockey who loved horses and ponies. David O’Sullivan of the Glenbeigh Races Committee and Waterford councillor Frank Quinlan pay tribute to Jack described by his family as “a one-of-a-kind child who touched all our lives in the best way possible.”
