Yesterday, an interim report into Ireland’s youth mental health services was published, authored by the Inspector of Mental Health Services, Dr Susan Finnerty. Her report found significant deficits in the State child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). Hours later, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare announced an independent review would be carried out into the mental care that children and teenagers received in North Kerry. Jerry speaks to Keith Rolls who’s a senior partner with Coleman Legal which represents some of the children and their families affected by the CAMHS scandal. Jerry also speaks to Róisín Clarke, who’s the interim CEO of Mental Health Reform.
