Yesterday, an interim report into Ireland’s youth mental health services was published, authored by the Inspector of Mental Health Services, Dr Susan Finnerty. Her report found significant deficits in the State child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). Hours later, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare announced an independent review would be carried out into the mental care that children and teenagers received in North Kerry.
