Jerry spoke to Eilish Perryman whose son Patrick lives in St Mary of the Angels in Beaufort, the residential centre for people with intellectual disabilities. She’s concerned about his future because of the decision of St John of God Services which runs St Mary of the Angels and other facilities across the country to withdraw from this role. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae raised the matter in the Dáil yesterday and received a response from the Taoiseach.
