President Michael D Higgins’s wife, Sabina, wrote to The Irish Times last week in which she called for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. The letter was then published on the President of Ireland’s official website and later removed. Bec Fahy is a People Before Profit activist for Kerry. She says criticism of Mrs Higgins is unfair as well as the controversy over the publication of her letter expressing a personal view on the website of the office of the President.
