The Pathway to Remove Judge Convicted of Sexual Assault – January 5th, 2024

Last month, circuit court judge Gerard O’Brien was convicted of the sexual assault of six young men, including a 17-year-old boy, in the 1990s. He is due to be sentenced until March 4^th.  If he does not resign as a judge, what are procedures open to remove him from this position?
