Audra Larkin has recently been appointed as the first female VSO (Veteran Support Officer,) for the Irish Defence Forces' charity ONE. In her new role, she will be responsible for the Cork and Kerry region, providing a critical service in Veteran Homes and Veteran Support Centres. ONE – Óglaigh Náisiúnta na hÉireann (or the Organisation of National Ex-Service Personnel) – is a registered Irish charity offering housing and support for Defence Forces' veterans, with the ultimate goal of accessing permanent accommodation, improving mental health, and preventing future homelessness
