The Death of Ian Bailey – January 22nd, 2024

Ian Bailey who died yesterday was the chief suspect in the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier in West Cork in 1996. He always maintained his innocence. Mr Bailey who was a week short of his 67^th birthday died suddenly in Bantry. Southern correspondent with the Irish Independent Ralph Riegel has been covering the case since the start.
