Micheál Martin addressed the COP26 summit yesterday. He said Ireland has promised to more than double its contribution to help developing countries fight the climate crisis. He had pledged earlier that Ireland would cut methane emissions by 30% while this country has also signed up to the summit’s first major deal which would see 110 countries stopping and reversing deforestation by 2030.
