Radio Kerry’s Terrace Talk won gold at the IMRO National Radio Awards on Friday night. The show was nominated in the Local/Regional Sports Programme category. The winning entry was a tribute show dedicated to the late Jerry Kiernan. Jerry was a celebrated Kerry athlete and Olympian.
Students in the Kerry College Digital Journalism and Broadcasting course were nominated in the Short Feature category for their series, The Power of a Phone Call. Radio Kerry won silver in the Local Radio Station of the Year category.
