The remote and mystical island of Sceilg Mhichíl/ Skellig Michael has always attracted interest, particularly, in the past decade when it featured in two Star Wars films. Reports from supervisors and guides on the UNESCO World Heritage site state close-flying helicopters, drones, and unauthorised attempted landings by boat have become issues. Jerry spoke to Donal McCrohan of the Skellig Boatmen’s Association whose members may bring visitors to the island under strict conditions.
