Shannon LNG is to lodge a new Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) planning application with An Bord Pleanála in early April for the development of a 600MW power plant and 100 MW battery storage system on the company’s 6000acre site on the Shannon Estuary between Ballylongford and Tarbert. The company has plans for a liquefied natural gas terminal on the landbank. Jerry got the reaction of the Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Jim Finucane. He also asked the Fine Gael councillor about his official visit to the US for St Patrick’s Day.
