Saving the Curlew - April 19th, 2019

This Sunday is World Curlew Day. The bird's sound was once commonly heard but the curlew is now in danger of extinction. Barry O'Donoghue of the National Parks and Wildlife Service spoke to Jerry about what's taking place. Corina Van Deventer is part of a group of IT Tralee students who've made an animation feature about the bird. It will be shown next week as part of the Wild Mind Festival in Fenit. IT Tralee lecturer Rosie Dempsey and Mike O'Neill of the Wild Mind Festival also spoke.
