The Diocese of Galway has confirmed that the remains of the late Bishop Dr Eamonn Casey have been moved from the cathedral crypt in Galway City. Eamonn Casey, who was also Bishop of Kerry, died in 2017. Last year a TV documentary revealed there were four allegations of child sexual abuse made against him. There were never any criminal charges brought against him. Gardaí said at the weekend that there would be no reopening of a criminal investigation. Jerry spoke to Fr. Patsy Lynch, parish priest Ballinskelligs and Prior, who was ordained by Bishop Casey.
