Today marks the first anniversary of one of the worst tragedies in the county in recent decades, the double murder and suicide of a family in Lixnaw. Eileen O’Sullivan and her son Jamie were murdered by Eileen’s partner, Mossie O’Sullivan, who then killed himself. This morning there was a mass in memory of Eileen and Jamie and there will be further services to remember all three who died. Parish priest of Lixnaw, Fr Anthony O’Sullivan, spoke to Jerry.
