Over the weekend, Fr Seán Sheehy said mass in Listowel and gave a sermon in which he condemned what he described as the ‘lunacy’ of transgenderism, the ‘sinfulness’ of sex between two men or two women, and what he said were the horrible actions of the HSE in handing out condoms to teenagers. Danny Russell from Listowel is a practising Catholic who’s gay. He’s upset by Fr Sheehy’s comments. Del O’Sullivan walked out of the church because of Fr Sheehy’s sermon.
