SSE Thermal will shortly be submitting its planning application for its new power station at Tarbert. It’s proposed that the Tarbert Next Generation Power Station would run on hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) with the potential to convert to hydrogen in the future. Local Fine Gael councillor Michael Foley gave his reaction.
