Part of Killarney National Park Set A Blaze – July 15th, 2026

Members of the Kerry Fire Service spent nearly seven hours battling the blaze, which is understood to have damaged around 15 hectares of the national park. Jerry spoke to Cllr Martin Grady who’s a firefighter, Eamonn Meskell, Divisional Manager at National Parks and Wildlife Services, and Vincent Horgan, acting Director of Roads Maintenance and Operational Services with Kerry County Council.
