Treasa spoke to Pádraig Tarrant from Tralee, who has been living in New York for 40 years. Several years ago, his former partner needed a new kidney. She had been diagnosed with diabetes. She was in her 60s at the time and would have been waiting for 10 years for a kidney transplant in New York state. He donated his kidney to her. He shares his story, and his message to anyone reluctant about Ireland's new opt-out organ donation scheme.
