Stained glass artist Mary J Leen is deeply saddened by last night’s fire that ravaged Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Mary J says the craftsmen, builders and artisans who spent over a hundred years building the Gothic cathedral, created a magical place. She says we still don’t understand how these medieval masters conjured the conditions whereby light was bent and refracted through the glass.
