Tralee woman Maria Hickey was born in the Bessborough Mother and Baby Home in Cork in 1953. She spent 91 days before being adopted. She says the law which bars those who spent fewer than 180 days in institutions from claiming redress from the State is unfair and arbitrary. Maria’s interview resulted in a number of listeners sharing their stories.
