The Minister for Education, Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley discusses concerns over Ryanair’s intention to operate the Kerry-Dublin route commercially. This means that they won’t avail of the Government PSO subsidy. Tourism and business interests are worried that such a decision brings no long-term security to the route, and that Ryanair may leave if they decide it’s not commercially viable.
