The death has taken place of renowned songwriter and journalist Mickey MacConnell.
The Fermanagh-born writer lived in Listowel for many years and wrote for The Kerryman and other publications.
He wrote his most famous song, Only Our Rivers Run Free, when he was 18 years old.
The song became associated with the Civil Rights movement in the North.
