Fifteen-year-old Aoibheann Daly who’s a pupil of Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School in Tralee is this year’s overall winner of the Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. Aoibheann won for her project Glioscope, a brain cancer diagnosis tool to help doctors improve the treatment of this type of tumour.
Jerry also spoke to Aoibheann’s father, John Daly, Pat Fleming who’s principal of Mercy Mounthawk, and to her former primary school teacher Breda O’Dwyer.
