This morning Ireland’s new research vessel, RV Tom Crean, was commissioned into service in Dingle. The commissioning was performed by Aileen Crean O’Brien, the granddaughter of the Antarctic explorer from Annascaul.
The Minister for Agriculture and the Marine Charlie McConalogue also attended the ceremony. Beforehand, Jerry spoke to him about this as well as CAP and EirGrid’s warning over the country’s electricity supply.
