In the early hours of Sunday morning, the Fenton-Toms’ family home in Caragh Lake was destroyed by a lightning strike. Due to increased building costs and general cost-of-living increases, the family's insurance won't cover the full cost of rebuilding their home; they’re underinsured by at least €75,000. Lyn Fenton, who’s a relative of the family through marriage and a neighbour, spoke to Jerry on behalf of Joe Toms, Marie Fenton and their four children.
