In the EU-WIDE Natura 200 event, Bioblitz, Killarney National Park was found to have 513 species. The BioBlitz is a friendly competition with fellow EU nature sites and reserves to help identify and record as many species in one day
Killarney National Park managed to top the poll in Ireland, with a massive 513 species identified, 899 observations, with 11 observers. Killarney finished ninth overall.
