Kerry Today Live at MTU Conferring of the Class of '23 - October 27th, 2023

Jerry hosted a special edition of Kerry Today live from MTU Kerry at the Kerry Sports Academy at the North Campus. Jerry spoke to Professor Maggie Cusack, president of MTU, to Dr Pat McGarty senior lecturer in the faculty of health and social sciences, Dr Eilish Broderick, head of school at STEM, Seamus Murphy, head of department of technology, engineering and maths, and Mike Stack, managing director of Tricel. In Call from the Dáil, Michael O'Regan reviewed the week in politics and opined that the wit and humour has gone out of debate in Leinster House. Cllr Jackie Healy-Rae said from next month, people on the social housing waiting list will be able to avail of choice-based letting. This replaces the current system where the council offers a person a property which they can then accept or reject. Under the choice-based letting system, the individual submits a request to live in a particular house or apartment.
