Killarney man Richard Behal has had handwritten letters composed by republican prisoners in the H-Blocks and Armagh women’s prison in the lead-up to the 1981 hunger strikes, since the early 1980s. He has decided to give the letters to Dr Ruan O’Donnell, a senior at University of Limerick to ensure they are preserved. Richard and his son Julien Behal, who is making a documentary on the topic spoke to Jerry:
