On April 14th, 1984 a baby boy was found dead with multiple stab wounds on White Strand near Cahersiveen. He was given the name John and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cahersiveen. The tragedy led to the wrongful accusation of murder against a young North Kerry woman, a controversial tribunal, and finally, many decades later, an apology and compensation to that woman and her family. However, the circumstances of Baby John's death have never been solved. Yesterday, gardaí exhumed the child's remains as part of their investigation. His remains were later reinterred. Jerry first speaks to Garda Superintendent Flor Murphy of Killarney Garda Station and then to local councillor Norma Moriarty from Waterville.
