Jerry spoke to Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Damien English and asks him about reports that some within Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil want motor tax abolished to help with the cost-of-living crisis.
He also asked the Fine Gael junior minister about a report in the Irish Mail on Sunday that the government plan to bring in Christmas-style welfare bonus payments in July. Since this was broadcast, the Taoiseach has ruled out the abolition of motor tax.
