The CEO of the Irish Self-Catering Federation says existing self-catering or short-term lets will not be affected by rent controls.
Máire Ní Mhurchú met with the Departments of Housing and Tourism, as well as Fáilte Ireland this week to discuss the changes to laws relating to short-term lets.
On June 20th the whole country became a rent pressure zone; this meant that Airbnb style rentals would need planning permission.
