Potential presidential candidates will come before Kerry County Council next Monday seeking support to run for the Aras.Fine Gael councillors have been sent letters, advising those thinking of giving support to other candidates hoping to run for president, that Fine Gael is committed to supporting Michael D Higgins. Cllr Pat McCarthy says he will vote for President Higgins but objects to Fine Gael HQ’s actions.
