October 31st marks the centenary of an ambush at Hillville near Kilorglin, in which two Black and Tans were shot by the Listry and Callinafercy companies of the IRA. The reprisals were ferocious with people injured and properties burned and looted. Historian Owen O’Shea joins Jerry.
