Heroes Honoured for Saving Man’s Life in Ballyheigue – November 13th, 2023

On September 24th last year, Don O’Neill and Donal Hanley noticed a man had gotten into difficulty while swimming after being caught in a rip current in Ballyheigue. Their quick actions saved the man’s life. On Friday, Don and Donal were honoured at the National Bravery Awards.
