Florian Becker is managing director of Bard College in Berlin. One of the college’s students, Sara Mardini, who has been working on the island of Lesbos in Greece helping migrants and refugees has been arrested along with her colleague, Sean Binder from Castlegregory. They’re being held on suspicion of human trafficking, money laundering, espionage and being members of a criminal organisation.
