Gas Networks Ireland has announced the country’s new Strategic Gas Emergency Reserve will be located in Cahiracon in Co Clare.
The Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council Michael Foley of Fine Gael and Noel Lynch chair of Ballylongford Enterprise Association and chair of Ballylongford/ Tarbert/Kilcolgan Development Group believe it should have been located on the Tarbert Ballylongford landbank.
