Digging for Spuds Yields World War I Find – August 22nd, 2018

A First World War medal has been found in North Kerry. John McNama from Lixnaw was digging potatoes in his vegetable patch recently when he found a World War I military service medal.The George V medal, which was issued in 1918, had been awarded to Private Michael Leane of the Royal Munster Fusiliers.
