Helen O’Carroll is curator of Kerry County Museum. The museum and Kerry County Council are organising an information evening next Tuesday, May 31st, at 7pm in Kerins O’Rahillys’ clubhouse in Tralee for anyone interested in getting involved in a community archaeology project. Dig Tralee intends to export the hillfort site at Knockanacuig, outside Tralee, which is possibly around 2,500 years old.
