“Cystic Fibrosis Drug is a Game Changer” – March 22nd, 2023

The Minister for Health has announced that the drug Kaftrio, which is used to treat cystic fibrosis, has been approved for HSE use to help children aged between 6 and 11. Laura-Jane Nealon lives in Lixnaw. Her son Evan who’s nearly 13 began treatment shortly after his 12^th birthday. Laura-Jane describes the impact Kaftrio has had on Evan.
