Florian Scheibein who lives in Sneem is a researcher with Waterford Institute of Technology. He’s been awarded the Pompidou Group’s European Drug Prevention Prize. The Pompidou Group is the Council of Europe’s International Co-operation Group on Drugs and Addictions. Florian and Jan Stola of the Youth Organisation for Drug Action have been honoured for their role in developing a harm reduction app, called TripApp, which connects young people who use drugs to a range of support services.
