Claim that Council Missed Golden Opportunity for Kenmare – April 24th, 2019

Last February, it was announced that Kerry was to benefit from funding under the Rural Regeneration Scheme; this included a grant of €275,000 for the purchase and development of the Ceann Mara Net Factory in Kenmare.

The proposal was a joint venture by Kerry County Council and Kenmare Marketing and Events Group; however, it appears the bid has been unsuccessful and the grant will not be delivered as it is specific to the site.

Helen McDwyer from the Kenmare Marketing and Events Group spoke to Jerry.
