A father whose 13-year-old son was attending CAMHS spoke to Treasa Murphy about discovering how his child was being overmedicated. He contacted Radio Kerry after news broke that an urgent review is being carried out into the care received by children and young people who attended the South Kerry Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services between 2016 and 2020. The HSE is reviewing the files of over 1,500 child and adolescent mental health service patients amid concerns some were prescribed excessive amounts of medication:
