John Roche is chair of Castleisland District Heritage O’Donohoe Archive and Janet Murphy is an archivist. They have researched painstakingly the case of Sylvester Poff and James Barrett who were hanged in 1883 for the murder of Thomas Browne. The two men are widely held to be innocent. Tomorrow at 11am, their case will be the subject of a BBC1 TV documentary.
