Sari Houlihan visited Tricel in Killarney, a local family run company, which has installed Ireland’s largest combined solar PV and heat-pump system.
Originally known as Killarney Plastics, Tricel was set up by the Stack family in Killarney 50 years ago this year. The company has gone from strength to strength and is now a multinational corporation with manufacturing sites throughout the UK and Europe.

In 2021, in the middle of the Covid pandemic, the company began installing Ireland’s largest combined solar and heat pump at its 100,000 square foot facility in Killarney.
