August is the traditional month for drawing home the turf as I met on my travels Johnny Foley from Lixnaw as he was leaving Ballinagare Bog with a load that will help to keep him warm on those long winter nights.Yours Moss Joe Browne.

Hi Joe and Domnick,
Attached are my photos for this month.
1. Flower in bloom at Muckross Gardens with two buds standing guard on either side.

2. Lifeboat to the rescue. This was Fenit on the first Friday in August. The sea was really rough and a swimmer was in trouble. The Lifeboat was called out to the rescue.

3. The Lifeboat returns with the Fisherman watching. A successful rescue and all well.
Regards,
Siobhan O'Connor

Hello Joe and Domnick
Here are some photos from a wonderful August in Kerry. My first photo was taken in the forge at Muckross Traditional Farms. My sister and I were delighted that our two young companions became totally engrossed as they watched the blacksmith make a bottle opener. The blacksmith cheerfully answered all questions.

I took the second photo as I strolled around the stalls at Puck Fair on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The bright colours of the balloons really caught my attention.

My third photo was also taken at Muckross Traditional Farms in the schoolhouse. Sheila had just finished performing at her two-hour solo concert of wonderful traditional singing and accordion playing. She loved the seanfhocal on the poster.

Hi Joe & Dominic, Hope you are both enjoying the summer and relaxing a little after the madness of the Rose of Tralee!!!
Here is my photo of the last of summer in August in Kerry. I live close to Banna, Fenit and Ballyheigue Beaches, and I was down on the beach with my little OM camera and I got this during the warm spell in August.
Low Flying Gull on Banna Strand - just loved the reflections here at low tide as I took a morning walk on Banna Strand on a beautiful August day.
Regards,
Liz Browne

Hi Joe and Domnick,
Attached please find my photo for this month's In Focus supplement on the theme of Kerry in August.
August in Kerry means one thing for me - the Rose of Tralee. I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to photograph the Saturday night parade and managed to capture the Rose of Tralee Keely O'Grady taking a selfie with festival CEO Anthony O'Gara during the firework display.
Thanks as always for putting together such a great show.
Warm regards,
Mark Nolan
