Passing of Last Surviving Blasket Islander to Emigrate to US– July 17th, 2025

The death of Máiréad Kearney-Shea – known as  Máiréad Pheats Tom  - occurred on Tuesday  at her home in Springfield, Massachusetts. Her 103^rd birthday would have been in December.
