A status yellow high temperature warning has been issued for Kerry.
It will be in place throughout Munster and Leinster from midday on Thursday until 6am on Sunday, with Met Eireann saying temperatures could reach as high as 29 degrees.
A weather advisory for the entire country is in place for hot weather until Monday.
