A woman was seriously injured in a car fire in the Sliabh Luachra area of East Kerry on Sunday (28th December).
Kerry Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to a car on fire in a farmyard in Gneeveguilla at around 6 o'clock in the evening (6pm).
The woman had been pulled from the car, which was still on fire, when the emergency services arrived.

She was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry (UHK), where she is being treated for serious burns.
